
Our Christmas tree is ready to be taken down. What should we do with it?
Save trees from the alleys! It’s bad for landfills and the environment, please recycle your Christmas tree. Here are some handy options:
Bucktown Community Drop Off
Sat Jan 6 and Sat Jan 13
9AM – 2PM
Bring your tree to one of the following locations:
– Bucktown Green (1724 N. Hoyne)
– Cortland Garden (1634 W. Cortland)
– Senior Citizens Park (corner of Oakley & Lyndale)
– Cortland Garden (1634 W. Cortland)
– Senior Citizens Park (corner of Oakley & Lyndale)
Note: Two weekends only, please do not drop off your trees after Jan 13, they will not be picked up by anyone.

There will be six Chicago park locations that will also have free mulch available on a limited basis: Lincoln Park, Margate Park, Mt. Greenwood Park, North Park Village, Warren Park, and the Forestry Site. Trees will be accepted from Jan. 3rd through the 21st.
