I wanted to get lunch in my neighborhood and I wasn’t sure where to eat this week. My husband suggested we try out this new place in West Town called Tempesta Market. The restaurant opened in December 2017 and it is more than just a sandwich place, they offer in-house charcuterie, gelate, craft sandwiches, and an array of gourmet pantry items to take home. Tempesta Market reminded me of a place that I ate at in Florence, Italy that had charcuterie meats displayed very similar.
I ended up getting the Q x 2 Salad which was had roasted Cauliflower, quinoa, puffed quinoa, avocado, arugula, romaine hearts, frisse, calabrian pepper vinaigrette and sunchoke chips. I am usually a meat eater and I have to say that I did not notice that there was no meat in the salad because they were so many flavors in the salad. I highly recommend the salad and I can’t wait to go back and try it again! My husband had a Pastrami Ruben sandwich that was a special of the day with a side a fruit for a healthy option instead of Chips. I tried his sandwich and it was so tasty that is was mouthwatering! After we finished our lunch, we noticed on the menu that was the World’s Best Chocolate Chip Cookie. We were curious, so we ordered it and the cookie did live up to the name!
